Tutorial In Reverse

First of all let me remind you about the informal chat tonight on ~clifftoppler’s Composition – Part 1. You have had a week to read the thread, read the articles and mull over the subject matter. It was a ton of information, we know, almost sliding into the dreaded TMI! So we would like to hear from you…what did you learn…how are you going to apply this newfound knowledge…was the presentation helpful, if so why, if not why not.

If you have questions, I’m a pretty fair at translating into Layman. Alternatively, if you want to go into something in-depth, we can attempt that too. We can even ask the BIG QUESTION…how does this help me with creating beautiful fractals.

This Administration is seeking a new ID image for the front page. The old image by *amberwind will be lovingly retired and put in a safe place. But we need to put up a new image to reflect the changes here at Ultra-Fractal. So get out your favorite formulas, OCAs, and textures and help us out by creating a new one.

Rules:

The image must be newly created. It cannot be an “updated” version of an old image in your gallery. It must be a newborn from your febrile minds.

The dimensions are 400 X 600 and must be “ure” Ultra-Fractal. The exception is; it must have the words “Ultra-Fractal” somewhere on the image. For this, you may use a graphics program.

To enter Post your image in your gallery and send us a note. In the subject of the note, please write Contest or A New Face 2008, anything else will simply be added to the Gallery. Please provide a link to the image in your Gallery

The Deadline: All entries must be in by Friday, March 21, voting will commence on Sunday, March 23, with the Winners announced on the following Sunday, March 30

I have a volunteer for the “Hotseat” at our next Tutorial in Reverse. =TwilightAmbiance is going to be hosting next Sunday, March 9th.
The time is set for 8:00pmGMT/3:00pm EST , but subject to change if warranted.



There seems to be some confusion over removing the images from the Shoutboard. So let me reiterate, no image is removed from the Gallery, unless requested by the Artist. These images will be placed in Special Folder in the Gallery, with a link to the folder in the Shoutbox. Either that or we will start a “Favorites” folder in the Club, and ing the original artwork. We are not “throwing out” or Culling the Gallery…we are just moving the furniture around a little.



We have been asked to set up a Monthly Events Calendar. Right now the Shoutboard is the only available space we can find. Since updating a calendar can happen anywhere from Monthly to Weekly to even Daily, we are trying to find a place that you can go to for information without having to add a journal update to your watch.

* I knew I forgot to add something! On my way to Chat yesterday, the Live-In Nag started poking me:
"You forgot something, what did you forget?"
