Greetings group.
So far these journals have been great as people ask questions and receive answers. If there is anything on your mind that you want answered, ask away. The topic can be anything that is about the group, whether it relates to the Ultra Fractal program, or how do we do business here.

Found that yesterday but couldn't quite figure out how to use it. Didn't work with Mandelbrot but seemed a bit easier with Newton so I'm thinking there might be a formula that is specificaly set up to use that oca. Makes me wonder if there isn't a formula from the author of that oca to use it. Either that or I think people might be rendering psd files and using the eraser tool to remove unwanted letter sections from that layer in photoshop. Good luck trying to get what you need from that oca.

I was wondering if there is a way to get rid of the background image when you're using mapping? For instance, I want to use the glass hemisphere but I only want to keep the image that is inside and I want to get rid or somehow hid the rest of it. If someone knows how to do it I would appreciate it if they would share.
Thanks

1. Open UF and on the default image, select File/Save Parameters. On the window that opens up, under the file name, change the information to where you want to save the file to and change the name of the file by renaming the part right before .upr to whatever name you want. ex: C:\programfiles\ApoToUF.upr
2. Open Apo and do File/Export UPR. When the window opens up, click on the folder and look for the file you saved in step 1 and click save after selecting it as the location.
3. Go back to UF and select the Browse button or File/Browse, then find that file and double click on it. In the right hand window will be the apo file that you saved to it. Double click on that file and it will open it into it's own window so that you can work with it.
